Urban School District – Mentored newly appointed Executive Director to take on new leadership responsibilities. Co-developed annual operating plan, created management tools for overseeing and monitoring key departmental activities, coached the Executive Director through difficult personnel and managerial decisions, and guided internal communications.

Sustainable Coffee Company – Developed onboarding and 90-day action plan for their new executive leader to successfully address key organizational priorities, increase revenue, and open trade with the Congo.

Large Family Foundation – Supported the annual planning process for three program teams (k-12 education, Environmental, Home Region) as well as seven operating teams. Co-facilitated planning discussions, assisted teams to develop themes, and drafted final plans and departmental objectives and goals.
Theory of Change & 5-Year Growth Plan
Social-Emotional Learning Nonprofit – Led growth strategy planning for social-emotional learning (SEL) program, engaged various stakeholders through the development of a theory of change with outcome metrics, developed cost model, wrote the business case, and drafted organizational design to scale nonprofit operations over five years.
Launch Plans
Adult Learning Company – Partnered with Founder to launch an adult learning business line. Developed detailed launch plans, facilitated key decisions, as well as advised on program vision, strategic partnerships, and business operations. A new line was successfully launched in fall 2017, accepting its first cohort of adult learners.
Landscape Analysis
English Learner Teacher & School Leader Professional Development Nonprofit – Conducted in-depth market research to understand the national landscape of comprehensive EL professional development programming for school leaders and teachers. Conducted interviews with industry experts and service providers, developed a market map, and synthesized data to discern insights and implications for the organizations strategic direction.
Organization & Operations Design
Impact Analysis
Teacher Placement Nonprofit – Evaluate organizational impact of changes to fiscal policies. Assisted Chief Operating Officer and Executive Leadership Team to understand the cultural, personnel, operational, and financial implications of fiscal policy changes across fifteen impacted regions. Conducted interviews, surveyed staff, developed financial analyses, recommended policy changes and advised on change management efforts.
Compensation Policy & Performance Management
Social Enterprise – Facilitated a bottom-up approach to building a bespoke performance management and compensation approach that embodied the organization’s core values and garnered buy-in across the organization. Resulted in a compressive feedback system, manager guidance, multiple career growth pathways, and a transparent and equitable compensation policy.
Organizational Assessment & Design
Large Urban School District – Conducted organizational assessment for four departments, evaluating the team structure, leadership structures, communication practices, operational procedures, data systems, and data governance policies. Developed the organizational chart with leadership structures, system and infrastructure improvements, process & communication improvements, and talent strategy. The organizational assessment resulted in a complete transformation of departments, improved employee satisfaction, and significantly reduced data issues for state-level reports, which dictated overall state revenue for the district.
Change Management
PMO Assessment
Innovation Nonprofit – Assessed project management structures and recommended changes across leadership, process, communication, and decisions making. Resulted in better staff utilization and collaboration between departments, a new system for project prioritization, and more clearly defined decision-making.
Specialized Populations Framework
Large Urban School District – Co-developed a framework for supporting specialized populations {Special Education, English Learners (EL), homeless, and foster care} across all district, network, and school functions to ensure that students are receiving appropriate services.
Alternative Metrics
State Agency – Collaborated with authorizers and school leaders to develop metrics, surveys, and other reporting tools to assess student growth beyond academics for students with specialized needs. These metrics will be used nationally to expand the definition of student progress and help both schools and authorizers alike, better evaluate the success of specialized programming.
